Which grade for which sweet
A starting point that many halwais use. Every recipe is different, so tell us what you make and we will suggest a brand and grade.

Bulk buying
Notes for bulk ghee buyers
- Book festival stock early. Demand peaks before Diwali, Raksha Bandhan and the wedding season; confirm your quantity a few weeks ahead.
- Check every tin on arrival. Lid seal intact, batch number and best-before date printed, brand FSSAI licence on the label. Match them to the invoice.
- Rotate first-in, first-out. We rotate our godowns FIFO; do the same in your store so the oldest batch is used first.
- Store tins upright, off the floor, in a cool place away from the stove and direct sun.
- Rates move daily. Confirm today's rate on WhatsApp before you place the order.

What is today's wholesale rate for desi ghee?
Ghee rates change every day, so we do not publish them. Send the brand, pack and quantity on WhatsApp and we reply with today's rate.
What is the difference between cow ghee and buffalo ghee?
Cow ghee is yellow, from the beta-carotene in cow milk, and has a lighter aroma. Buffalo ghee is white and thicker. Tell us what you cook and we will suggest a brand and grade.
What does danedar mean?
Danedar ghee sets with a visible grain (dana). It is a texture, not a purity grade; smooth ghee is equally pure.
Which pack sizes do you stock?
Retail 1 L packs and bulk 5 L / 5 kg and 15 L / 15 kg tins, depending on the brand. The table on this page shows every brand and pack we list.
What are the HSN code and GST rate for ghee?
Ghee is HSN 0405 90 20 with 5% GST. Every order is billed on a GST invoice.
